I recently got my friend to help me install Ubuntu onto an external hard drive so I can run it off of it as a type of boot drive, it's only new and its a 2TB Seagate Extension 3.0 I'm pretty sure. And also from when I tried to boot it up after installing ubuntu onto it and going through that step with the weird name, the drive was given a massive name with tons of random letters and numbers. I want to try to reformat it but I don't know how? Could I do it from the DOS menu or just plain in windows? It shows up by the way in Device Manager in control panel, and also in devices and printers.
