Hey all I think that is what this is called (in description) but I cant find it on the internet and it would be epic if someone could give me the proper name for this.... On my old gaming pc I use to be able to connect hard drives to the my pc (externally) by using a port that was directly under my cd drive which made it a lot easier to transfer files between pcs without taking apart my case etc and was just wondering if anyone know what these are called as I cant seem to find them anywhere

Could be a USB2 port, they are very common. They are a slot about ½" wide. The top half of it is filled with an insulating support block bearing four metal strip contacts facing down.

Could also be an IEEE 1394a port, also known as Firewire. This one is about ½" wide also but higher, and normally has one end triangular instead of straight vertical. It has six contacts in it, 3 on each side of a central insulator block.

Since your say it was on your case front, I doubt it could have been an eSATA connector. Those are wider with 15 contact strips, and the slot has a short "L" leg on one end.
