Question external hard drive unknown, not initialized, unlocated

hey, my friends hard drive just stopped showing up in the computer, no physical damage, nothing.
the hard drive works, the light is on, the disk spinning without any strange noises.
when i checks the device manager, i saw the hard drive:

after that, i went to the disk manager and then i saw that:

i tried to use some programs to restore the data, but they run and dont find any files.
i think he unplugged the hard drive without the windows safe disconnect.

Looks like you need to try to recover the data with a program that will not be foiled by an unallocated drive. Unfortunately the specific software he used was redacted by a mod. Pesky moderators...
