External hard drive

Hello,
my hard drive is not reading the drive is turning thou can feel and hear it \

Open Disk Management (Start button, right click on Computer, select Manage, then Disk Management). If you see the drive in there, right click on the area below the blue bar and select a drive letter for the drive. It should then show up in Windows.
