External Harddrive Screw Size

My Samsung M3 Portable has a stuck head, no problem, however one of the seven screws holding the protective plate in place is larger than the other six (which are all T6 Torx). There's no way I can get any traction with the T6 to unscrew it, and a T7 is too large to even fit in the screw.

What do?

What I've done.....is take a dremel tool with a cutoff wheel and cut a slot in the head and turn it out that way.

You could also use a small sharp file.

yea no problem at all. open the HDD exposing the platters to dust and dirt and then you have more problems then a stuck head

You can try taking the HD and giving it a knock. I've done this and it works sometimes. Then....get your data off ASAP.
