I was moving files over to an external harddrive for backup when it suddenly stopped working.

It was not interrupted from what I could gather so not sure what exactly triggered the problem.

So when I try to access it I get "the disk structure is corrupted and unreadable "

and when I try to run the tool in properties I got "The disk check could not be performed because Windows can't access the disk"

I tried to run chkdsk from cmd I got
"The type of the file system is NTFS
Unable to determine volume version and state. CHKDSK aborted."

I've run sfc scannow and it returns as everything is fine.

I have used testdisk and tried to rebuild BS as well as analyze and write the partition to no success.

I don't know what else I can do to get my drive working again so I could at least get the files off.

I have used Recuva and it is able to find my files but if I could get it to normal operation I'd rather recover the files after that as it is a 2tb drive and it'll take 23+ hrs to run the deep scan, and I'd like to avoid that if possible.
