External HDD and TV

Hi
I planning to buy an external 1TB HDD for backup and installing Windows To Go.

I can not choose between WD Elements and My passport ultra!
My question is can i connect both to TV? Can partitioning an external HDD to several drives?
Also I backup my data manually

2. Your TV almost certainly can't process multiple partitions on that external drive. Or even use an external HDD at all.

If one partition can use My passport Ultra on TV?
Also Windows To Go is use full when the system goes into problem!

When the system "goes into problem", that is when you fix it. Not limp along with a USB drive.

Can your TV use an actual HDD? Completely unknown. Try it, before you dedicate much time and effort and assume it "just works".

You have an external now? Put a few files on it and try it.
