Sothe USB connector on my external HDD died..

I opened it up, and realized it isnt a normal SATA port. I see an 18 pin arrangement(9 pins on each side) of the HDD and also the connection board is also unfamiliar to me. Can someone help me out to find a replacement board for a new connector so I can salvage all the data I have on this drive? Pictured are attached below:

Oh and its an Old Samsung External Hard Drive, 500GB

Solution
That's the HDA (Head/Disc Assembly) connector. It connects the PCB to the preamp on the headstack, and the voice coil motor.

See http://hddscan.com/doc/HDD_from_inside.html

Instead I would be looking around the micro-USB connector. Sometimes all you need to do is to reflow the solder joints at the chip inductors. There are several threads and photos at hddguru.com.
