Question External HDD no longer showing up in explorer

I have a WD Elements 4T external drive that worked fine I went on vacation had it unplugged and now it won't show up in explorer. I can see it in Device manager and it says it is working properly, I tried to update drivers even uninstall the device, when running diskdrive get status it shows as ok. When trying to initialize it in disk manager I get a fatal hardware error.

How is the external drive connected: USB, network, shared?

Does the external drive appear in Disk Management?

Open Disk Management, expand the window to show all information, take a screenshot.

It is connected via USB and has a power cable as well. Yes it does appear in Disk Management however when trying to initialize it I get a fatal hardware error.
