External hdd or docking station internal hdd as main hdd in smart tv?

Is it possible to like we do for in mobile phones,
Convert our external hdd or internal hdd using docking hdd station as main hard drive for led smart tv , like Tcl p2 or other smart tv?
As these led tv is 4k and have android 5.5.

Rather then be limited to small size of tv hdd, I use my external or internal hdd using docking station as main.

If you've received no advice in a couple of days since posting your question (and it's now been five days) it usually means nobody here is able to help you with that (probably because they've never tried doing it, or they can't find any relevant information on the subject).
