Hello community.
I want to buy a new external HDD and I don't know what is the best in terms of fiability. I think 1 TB is enough for me. What brand do you suggest me and why?
And about the memory stick, what do you think about Kingston DTSE9 metallic or Data Traveller R 3.0 G2.
I had Data Traveller 101 G2 and now I can't view what is stored on it. Windows 7 sees the USB memory stick, but it doesn't show me the capacity and when I try to access it it says something about I/O device. I think is broken, is it?
What would you do if you were in my situation?
Thank you in advance.

Don't own any external HDDs at the moment, although in the past I've had a Seagate one (which survived getting dropped to the floor). The DTSE9 does not have any incredible read/write speeds but then again even most USB 3 sticks don't have great read/write speeds, and the DTSE9 is USB 2. Overall I'd really say I'm satisfied with it.
I have the DTSE9 (16GB one) on my keychain for more than a month now. So far it's been great. It's very light and very difficult to bend or otherwise damage because it's one solid piece of metal. I'd recommend it.

For HDDs in general Seagate and WD are the go-to brands.
