I never buy Seagate external hard drives anymore as I've had no less than three fail in less than 12 months.
I replaced them with WD ones and they are all working fine after three years.

Buffalo I've never used so can't comment on those, except to say that the actual hard drive isn't made by Buffalo since they don't make hard drives. They buy the drives from the main hard drive manufacturer's, make the enclosures for them and stick a Buffalo badge on the outside.

Problem with that is you never know what brand of drive is inside it, whereas if you buy a Seagate or WD one you know exactly what's inside it.

To summarise then, my recommendation is WD. But you need to ask around a bit more to see which brand gets the most recommendations...

I bet some of them get tossed about & mishandled in the warehouses before they even get to the customer, but it's the manufacturer who gets the blame when it starts giving trouble.

Thank you so much sir for your honest experience. so i will not include buffalo then ?
😀

Exactly the same here. Though they were three internal Seagate HDDs and they failed in 3 months. :pfff:

That. Though most external HDDs are actually Seagates. Or at least 90% of the ones i checked out 2 months ago were.

So, my advice would be WD, too.
However, I can assure there are people out there with bad experience with WD drives, too.

yes sir i also ready other forum then they also complaining regarding WD drives. i guess they don't have the luck to a buy a perfect device just like you. :)

thank you so much and i guess i go for the WD I hope it will last long. :)
