I have the corsair natilus 500 and I just bought a mini refrigerator...I would like the put the external radiator in the regrigerator but have never heard of anyone doing this so have no idea what to expect. My idea is to drill two holes in the fridge (i have no idea where to do that) and then after putting the hoses through sealing the holes with putty or caulk.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions they would be greatly appriciated.

I too have thaught about this.
Easiest way would be to cut holes in the door seal, leaving some extra length for movement, then plug it with silicone. This way u can always abandon and patch or replace the door seal with no lasting damage.

Condensation however is the main problem.
Cant remember my high skool physix stuff... but this should occur when it gets cold, or more importantly when the cold liquid heats up from fridge to cpu.

Can always try put it in the fridge, let it cool and so a test run. Try it for a few days and if u ah heck it up i wont try it myself
😛 😛

Save your self time and energy! Make the frige your computer case or put the computer case inside the frige. I don't think you would have to worry about the condensation then .... although that fridge may burn out if it gets too warm in there

I have never heard of such a mod like it, I mean placing the motherboard inside the fridge and all. It would be more useful if the fridge is use for cooling water, beer and redbull. I'm sure the entire pc can be water/condensation proof with a use of conformal coatings and lots of dielectric grease but that would be just insane. Still it would be very risky.

I'm going to look around and see if I could find something like this that have been done before.

I have read the forums on the guys that achieved the radiator-in-frige mod. Some have insulated the water block and cpu with dielectric grease and as well as conformal coating. Also the tubing have been insulated as well with some sort of thick cloth, I don't know what it is. But with it, the pc was running fine and dandy. I guess it's the same with a TEC cooling insulation. And they might be using anti-freeze I supposed so that the liquid in the fridge area don't get frozen when the pc is shutdown.

All I have to say is.....if toms can do this:

I'm sure the fridge thing is possible...as long as you caulk all parts of the mobo just like tom's cooking oil pc.
Some sort of thick cloth

neoprene ?

I know it's possible, but is it practical? I know with a use of conformal coating and dielectric grease you can seal the mobo from water and condensation. As for the tubing insulation i don't know if it's neoprene. It looks like grey color. It might be just a regular thick cloth.

I gotta this mod if someone have done it or going to do it. :)
