Question External monitor issue with a game that only run on my laptop display

I recently purchased The Settlers 7 - History Edition and I have tried tools such TV Game Launcher and Dual Monitor Tools. However I cannot get the game to run on my external monitor. I have set my external monitor to be the primary display. TV Game Launcher doesn't even recognize my external monitor it just shows a Generic PNP Display, and using the switch window shortcut keys in Dual Monitor Tools also doesn't works. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make and model of your laptop in question? What version(not edition) of Windows 10 are you on at the time of writing? BIOS version for your laptop?
