Question External optical drive

Just bought this ASUS PC and didn't realize it has no DVD drive. Will this PC take an external DVD drive? If so, how does the drive connect to the PC? Which brands are better?

There are zillions of USB connected optical drives.

Tons of External DVD drives exist. Try finding ones from, hmm, Verbatim? Verbatim is a great company, Asus too, LG...

Not sure how many USB ports this PC has - maybe 4. I have mouse, keyboard and docking station that use USB ports. Hope it will take all of these and DVD drive.

If there are not enough native USB ports, a USB hub can serve the mouse/kbd from a single port.
Zero performance issue.

Search for bluray external, and you'll see some.

Blue ray drives support dvd and cd because backward compatible, but a dvd drive is a dvd drive and has no idea that blue ray exists.
