Hello, I recently bought a Nikon D3300 mainly to shoot videos. I also bought a Rode Videomic GO, so I could get better audio quality. When I tested it out, I immediately noticed that there was alot of audible hiss in the footage, and I wanted to have it as clean as possible. I found a video recommending an external pre-amp to solve the hiss (the Fiio E3, to be exact) I went and bought that too. When I got it, I plugged the input to the microphone and output to the camera, and now not only does it not pick up audio, but the hiss is even louder for some reason. If anybody can help direct me to what I did wrong, if be very appreciative. Thank you.
