I have Seagate Expansion Portable 1TB. Last night i dropped it to ground slowly. I was playing games on hdd and after dropping pc completely stopped so i had to close it by button. After reopening computer, "Windows Starting" screen comes then complete black screen, after retrying windows said i should use startup repair. I ignored it and still black screen (startup repair says system recovery but i cant use mouse or keyboard strangely). Also while my hdd plugged windows is stuck at closing but never shuts up.
After pulling out my hdd windows just opens normally. When i plug my hdd new device sound can be heard but hdd doesnt shows up. In device manager i can see it and it says my drive works fine. In volumes section ( or whatever its equivalent, my windows not english) nothing shows. It doesnt shows in disk management but im not sure about bios.
I tried SeaTools but it stucks in scanning supported drives while my hdd plugged.
Little light on hdd is on but it not spins. I couldnt feel a clicking either.
Long time ago while i was using my another pc(a laptop) sometimes my hard disk just disappears and windows couldnt detect it. I coulndt open disk management either. But i thought it was pc related because it just becomes normal again in few minutes.
I tried another pc just to be sure problem isnt computer related. And same results that makes me my hdd gone forever. I have 900GB data on it most of them games that makes me very sad if i lost all of them but especially 1-2GB my documents.
