External seagate not detected after aborted file system repair - what to do?

Bought an external seagate to transfer files from dying hard drives and just managed. However, I plugged it in and windows said that the hard drive may be faulty and asking if it should try to repair it. I said yes, but it hung up and the process had to be aborted. Then the hard drive cannot be detected, not even in disk management.

What should I do? I have so much important data on it! Thankful for any help.
