Hello.

My Sound Card is Sound Blaster Audigy LS. a very old card from 2003 i think. and sometimes when even my headset is plugged in that sort of pressure is enough to move it a little bit and crash my pc. then after restartingthere is no audio. so i must open my computer case and adjust it again...so i'm getting tired of this and i think about external Sound Card. No Drivers. Plug in and play. all i care about is good audio and headset microphone to record or Voice chat with my Friends.

My Question is: can i use a 7-10 dollars External Sound Card and Remove My Sound Blaster Audigy LS For Good. with no Problems Anymore on A Desktop Computer??

Solution
I think I have an AsRock Z77 Pro4M and I don't use a soundcard to run my headphones or speakers.

Seems unlikely that all of the on-board audio would be dead. Have you checked for and installed drivers? Do you have the correct audio source selected in Windows? Are you connecting to the correct port on the back panel? Do you have the front panel audio connected (and to the correct header). etc etc.

I've had happen many times, when I install new GPU drivers, it switches the audio source to the GPUs HDMI to the monitor.

Do you need a sound card at all? What mobo do you have?
My MotherBoard : msi z77a-g43 (ms-7758)
when i bought my computer back in 2016 from a friend. it had a sound card - the front jack doesn't work until now. and for some reason i came to the conclusion that my audio from the motherboard is not working. that's why it had that sound card. maybe i'm wrong because i never asked him directly or brought a specialist to tell me that my motherboard doesn't have sound anymore...so what do you think?

i asked the guy who sold me the computer - he said he himself had no audio from the mother board. that's why he had that sound card added. so it's safe to say now that i must have a sound card to hear anything unless i changed my mother board. so my question still stands. can i use an External Sound card and get rid of the one i have now? or do you better suggestions for me? thanks.
