External speakers not working after Windows 10 installation.

So just a few days ago I finished installing Windows 10, everything appeared the same. Nothing out of place, until I went to change my speakers to be the default device in my playback devices. The speakers weren't even recognized by the PC. And no matter what I do, restart the pc, unplug the speakers and plug them back in, unplug my headphones then plug the speakers in I've tried just about everything. The thing that confuses me the most is I've got a PS4 and I use my monitor as my display for the Playstation and the speakers work just fine when I'm playing on that. If anybody has any kind of insight on the subject it would be much appreciated.

Install the latest drivers for your audio device. Oftentimes, drivers carried over from previous versions of Windows have issues running under Windows 10.
