Question External SSD doesn't work on new PC

Hello,

I have an external SSD that I use to carry files between my laptops. I bought a new pre-built pc during the holidays and when I connect this drive to the new PC, it never loads.

• Windows Explorer seems to load the drive but never succeeds. The drive letter doesn't show up.
• Disk Management hangs for as long as the drive is connected.

• I tried all the USB ports
• I tried formatting the drive on my laptop and then connecting the fresh drive on the PC. No dice.

I'm not sure what else I can try.
