I purchase a Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD to upgrade my Dell Inspiron 7559 only to discover that my laptop doesn't support NVMe. So I bought a Orico NVMe M.2 SSD Enclosure. However, my laptop does not recognize my fancy, new external SSD. Not the File Explorer, not the Disk Management, not diskpart.
This morning I connected to my work laptop and it showed up in Disk Management and diskpart so I ran clean, then formatted (NTFS). Drive then showed in the File Explorer. Yay! Now when I plug it into my personal laptop: nothing. When I Rescan Disks in Disk Management it flashes briefly (0.2 seconds) but always disappears again. Plugged into my sister's laptop: works like a charm any port. She even copied a file in.
Any help is appreciated...
Interesting notes:

Interesting notes:
- it works on my sister's laptop (USB 2.0 and 3.0) and my work laptop (USB 3.1)
- my personal laptop has only USB 3.0 ports
- enclosure power light comes on regardless of whether the drive is recognized or not.
