external usb 3.0 HDD to internal Sata III

I took hard drive from Seagate Expansion 3TB (STBV3000100) which was used as external drive and planned to use it as internal with sata connection. I installed drive and windows 10 recognizes it, but shows 2TB(GPT protective) + 700GB unformatted . I panicked and put it back to enclosure and connected again with USB 3.0 . drive worked.
how can I install drive as internal drive with SATA without reformatting it?!

P.S. I'm also using samsung SSD as OS drive and SATA is set to AHCI if this is relevant at all

You can't. The enclosure likely encrypts or otherwise modifies the drive contents, e.g. to provide a disk with drivers on it.

You'd need to format it.
