WD elements 2.72TB does not work on Lenovo Win11 Tower but works on Toshiba Laptop and allows error checking in win10 properties sucessfully.
Similarly, Seagate 3.68TB works fine on Lenovo in the same ports back and front.
WD elements works fine on HP Z400 Tower and Dell T1650 Tower with Windows 10.
WD elements was intermittent on Lenovo (since I got the Lenovo) but now will not work at all.
Device Manager on Lenovo showed hidden WD elements until I uninstalled it.
Now it will not show at all.
Changed drive letter to W on laptop and that letter is not used on Lenovo.
Installed Ubuntu dual boot on Lenovo. Drives show same characteristics on Ubuntu.
i.e. WD elements will not show but Seagate and USB thumb drives will show in same USB ports.
So it appears to be a hardware problem not to do with Windows 11.

Windirstat does not show the WD elements.
Cable for elements and Seagate appear to be the same - I swapped them with no change.
Elements works in HPZ400 with Seagate cable.
I can hear the disk motoring around and it slows to a stop when I unplug the drive with the computer on sleep.
Could this be a USB port power problem and could I prove this with a external port extender? Or is it cheaper to buy another Seagate USB external drive?
