So, I got quite a unique question.

My main gaming system is an FX-8350 based machine with a RX-570 I recently installed as an upgrade to replace my older gtx 1050 ti. I was going to give my older 1050 ti to a friend as a gift until after comparing the gtx 970 he has to my 1050 ti that I realized it would actually be a downgrade for him. So Im keeping the 1050 ti but I'm not particular to selling it because I want more out of it than what someone will pay for it used.

QUESTION IS... My Mobo has 2 pcie 16x slots and the 1050 ti I had was a gigabyte RGB and I loved the RGB. Would it hurt my gaming performance because of requiring cpu power to keep the 1050ti running by popping that 1050ti into the extra slot strictly for the RGB lighting and nothing else?

If Im being completely stupid lemme know but, RGB!

Solution
You can run into a lot of problems due to different driver (AMD vs Nvidia) and just for the sake of RGB it is not worth...
Sell this card as long as you can because a new nvidia gpu generation is coming and the 1050ti will be worth even less in a few months.
Buy some cheap as RGB strips with that money and wrap them around the pc. Its safer and you have more RGB!!
