Extra Hard Drive

Is it possible to add an extrahard drive from an unused computer to my current computer? And if I can use it, must I format it or how does it work?

It's possible but has to have same connections as MB requires, Eg SATA etc. What else you do to it depends on what it 's on it. If it has OS on it, it would be best to delete all partitions on it and make new one(s).

The current hard drive is connected with edi cables, and my motherboad only has 1 plug to plug it in.

Is the unused hard drive also an ide drive? If so, then you can connect more than 1 hard drive to the ide port on the motherboard with a cable that has 2 ide connectors. If the unused drive is SATA (newer type of connection than ide), then as suggested above you can get an external usb dock and insert the hard drive in there.
