I got a new evga x299 ftw k motherboard and it has an extra 6 pin power connector at the bottom for the PCI lanes. Do I have to have it plugged in? I'm using a 1060 6gb. The reason I got this board is because I cant get my pc to post but with the new board it still wont post. I'm getting error code 22 and no beeps. The 6 pin connector is in the worst spot possible and I cant plug it in because theres not enough room between the case and the mobo, and theres a hole in the bottom of the case directly under it but it's not big enough to fit the 6 pin through. Before I take this whole thing apart again, is it required?
