[SOLVED] extra sata cables?

If im going to have 5 drives total in my build, do i need to buy extra cables to connect those drives to the mobo and what about power??

You will need one SATA data cable for each drive. You will also need one SATA power connector for each drive. Check your PSU cables how many they include.

My PSU has 6 sata connections and i have 2 sata cables that came with mobo and i just bought a 3 pack of these cables: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JW9RMTG/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -- are these the right cables?

Those should be OK. Remember to ONLY have the drive you want to be your C: connected when you install windows. That way no drive is accidentally formatted and the boot loader doesn't get confused.

Yeah ive heard that a few times. I will do that, then hook up the other drives after. I have a drive from my current laptop, 2 new ssd's, 1 old hdd from an old desktop and a hdd from a ps3 formatted for pc. one of the new ssd's will be a boot drive/drivers/system drive only. Thanks for the replies, very helpful.
