GPU: GTX480 is good. But would suggest a GTX460 1GB SLI. Would cost you cheaper and would give your better performance. Try this in SLI. A single Palit GTX 460 Sonic thumps HD5850.

Try the new AX series. Even 850W is too much. But just a little head room. It would be enough!

HDD: Go for smaller and more number of drives. Better data reliability. If you loose one drive you don't loose all data!

This, I second the Noctua NH-D14, just picked on up and it's rather silent plus it's a beast for cooling. I couldn't really ask for better on air.

Soundcard isn't really needed, especially if you're using any sort of digital out.

ATI's 10.8 drivers just came out and they now have a superior multi-GPU system compared to SLI, hardocp just did a review of them.

IMO a 27in monitor at 1920 would be stupid. Way too low of a pixel density.
