My computer goes fine for awhile but there are times (most often) when I am in a game of league of legends with my friends and my computer will start lagging and you can hear sounds really drag out and repeat and be really awful and my entire PC will basically skip or freeze, and the longer I go without restarting my PC the worse the skipping freezing and sound issues get when this issue is triggered. I had a GTX 670 FTW 2gb graphics card before i upgraded recently and was getting this issue as well. with this new card I was going good for awhile but it just happened again today. I have no idea how to fix this and need help.
(i also use to get this issue with a HDD that i upgraded to the SSD to see if the HD was the issue, still happens)
My ram usage when it happens was at 7.6GB used out of 16GB, I had one other game opened but minimized to system tray (black desert online) although this has happened before with just league opened.
Was wondering if its a driver issue or maybe a ram issue or what because im at a loss my friends are techs and tried to help me and they dont really know either, they suggested it might be a rootkit or my RAM, but i reformatted recently and started completely fresh. (as well as upgrading from HD to SSD)
When this issue happens the computer MUST be restarted. closing out everything does not fix it and the desktop will even hang the cursor lags and if i open anything that has sound the sound will hang as well.
Programs I use often are MSI afterburner for temperature monitoring and fan curve adjustment, black desert online, and league of legends, skype is generally opened but i close it often and it doesnt seem to have an impact on whether or not this occurs.
system specs:
16GB ram Corsair vengeance pro 1600 mhz
m5a78l-mlx plus motherboard
amd fx-6300 processor coolermaster 212 hyper evo cooler
PNY GTX 1060 3gb
600W evga bronze+ power supply
PNY 480gb SSD
I use a corsair m65 rgb mouse and a logitech g105 keyboard, a pair of sennheiser headphones which i have plugged into a roccat juke 7.1 connector because my motherboard has terrible onboard sound, and a desktop microphone.
