Question Extreme Screen Tearing

(Check signature for PC specs.) I recently got a GTX 1050 2gb and i'm loving it. Last week i updated the nVidia drivers as usual, but then all of a sudden after the update the bottom half of my screen has extreme screen tearing - during videos, gaming, and even dragging things across the screen. I honestly have no idea how to fix this because the top half of my screen is perfectly fine with no tearing.

Start the nvidia control panel by clicking the icon next to the clock,go to manage 3d settings,find the vertical sync setting and try every one of them,on and fast should be your best bets.

Ill go ahead and try that tomorrow, but is there any explanation as to why this is only happening to half of my screen?
