Extreme tempurtature variation

It could just me but I'm new to overclocking but these are my stock , resting temps.
Why is my cpu so high when my gpu is so low , gpu never goes above 40C during a stress test but my cpu is showing temps of 90 for some reason. Case is not even remotely hot , cold air coming out front , room temp coming out side and back. I've heard people getting my specific processor up to 3.0ghz with no problem at all but mine its saying its hotter than hell in my case at stock clock. Thank you

What CPU? What kind of stress test are you running? What cooler and what case? Why is the air coming out the front?

Using Msi Kombuster 3.0 for gpu and Stability test with AIDA 64 extreme for cpu. Traded this PC for my laptop so all I know is : CPU: Intel Q6600 , GPU: EVGA GTX 650 Ti , 550w Power supply and what appears to be a aftermarket cooling unit at front of case ( looks like a speaker.)

Hmm maybe it's not mounted properly, no idea unless you can specify the cooler =) They come in all kinds of shapes and TDP ratings.

Alright thanks anyways , I went to the bios and set the fan settings to aggressive and got a 10c drop , still high but It will do until I get the fan and stuff looked at.
