Extremely low FPS on WoW private servers

I just started playing on WoW private servers but my FPS is so low it's unplayable. It stays around 8-9 FPS on minmum graphic setings. Meanwhile on normal live WoW I get 100 FPS on minmum in the exact same area.

This is one of the drawbacks of playing on a private server I'm afraid. Performance is not always up to snuff.
