Hey Guys,

So first off, my system is currently using a GTX 660ti graphics card paired with an Intel i5 4430.

i know these are not that amazing in general but recently I have experienced a bit of lag etc. within a few games and took to doing a few benchmarks.

On the Sky Diver benchmark I noticed that I got 19433 graphics score but a ridiculously pathetic 2206 physics score and an equally bad combined score of 4778. I'm not the most computer literate guy around but to me that seems a little odd. This correlation continues on many other benchmarking programs/tests etc. too.

I reran the test with Real Temp and my cpu never goes over 32 degrees so it doesn't seem like it's overheating whatsoever. I read another solution may be the power input but I am running a 550W psu which should be sufficient. Another suggestion was that the benchmarks were running in compatibility mode but that's not it either.

I have no idea why this is happening but when I do play the games that seem to drop frames, even after hours of play my cpu never gets over 35-38 degrees so I am lost for an explanation.

Anyone got any ideas?

Forget Sky Diver, for desktop gaming PC's, Firestrike is all you need to benchmarks, the rest will be bottlenecked messes, because they are designed for mobile stuff and very weak.

And what makes you think those scores are low anyway? They could be, but are you comparing them to other systems? Graphics scores and physics scores don't compare, they are on a completely different scale, so you can't just say it's bad because it's lower than your graphics score.

I understand this, there is a very similar correlation to the firestrike score also. I also understand that the scores will be different but my average is far below that of a similar/same setup. All are between 4600 and 5300 total average score and mine sits at 3321. My graphics scores were almost identical to the others but my physics scores were around 6000 and mine was 1458 on Firestrike. My combined was at least 1000 points lower than all of the other also. This is what concerns me and why I think there might be a cpu issue.
I understand how scoring/benchmarking works and I understand that just just because it's lower than my graphics score it doesn't mean it's bad. In comparison to the same systems, my physics/combined scores are atrocious.

Also, I have noticed that it reads my cpu at 800mHz instead of 3,000mHz, but apparently that's a known 'bug' and your cpu works at full clock speed anyway. Just to be safe I reset my mbo to default settings but still no luck.

Anyone have any other ideas?
