Extremely Slow Ethernet through Netgear

Alright, so bought a new Netgear Router, the WGR614v10 a while ago as my old one was crapping out. Worked good for a short while (I think), but then noticed severe speed issues. Direct connected, I get around 20 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload. Through the router, that drops to 2.xx Mbps download and .05 Mbps upload. Insane. I have not found any solution that has worked online, and apparently I have to pay to talk to Netgear since I bought this more than 90 days ago, which is crap. Anyway, I can follow instructions extremely well, but have no idea where to start, so any help troubleshooting the problem would be appreciated, and I will deliver immediate feedback. In having the exact same problem on a Netgear R6200 that I bought in Dec 2012. I haven't found any answers that work yet.
