Question Extremely slow internet but very fast Speedtest.

I have a HP ENVY x360 laptop which all of a sudden has extremely slow internet. It takes around 5 minutes to load a website and usually ends up with ‘ERR_CONNECTION’. Troubleshooting says nothing, just ‘u can connect to some websites lol’. (Very helpful). Speedtests on the laptop show up to 100 mbps download and 60 upload with 10 ping. So I’m not sure why this is happening. I’ve tried flushing the dns cache, turning off ipv6 but nothing works.

If the speed is all good but you battle with connecting to websites etc you might be dealing with a major latency loss issue.

Give this program a download and run a ping test for 8.8.8.8
This will give you a very accurate indication of what servers you connect to and where the problem is.
If that all tests perfectly maybe use a different browser or laptop for testing.
