Extremely slow network speed.

I use DSL for my internet connection. I usually get 2.4 download average but now it is down to 300 KB/s. I know it is my router but I am not sure how to fix it. I am using a Netgear router in my AT&T modem and it is indeed my AT&T router. Is there a possible way to fix this or do I need a new modem?

Have you tried unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in? Is this a wireless setup that you are using or wired? If it is wireless try wiring it and seeing if you get better speeds.
