Okay so I have a western digital blue 1tb hard drive and I've rarely used it. Recently after trying to use it again, it has had some strange behavior.
Trying to install windows/linux to it is extremely slow (like over 12 hours to install). Then if I attempt to boot from it when it's finished installing, it usually sits at a blank screen or takes a really long time to get to the windows boot logo (after a long time I do get the spinning dots).
I tried cloning an existing windows 10 drive to this one from a different PC (took about 24 hours to do) and it still takes a really long time to just get to the boot screen.
The drive activity light is usually solid but the drive itself only sounds/feels like the head is moving around once in a while.
I have tried using it with multiple PCs. My friend purchased the same drive off of Amazon and his seems to work just fine. Makes me believe the drive might be on its last legs even though it has seen little use.
