Question Extremely strange issue with booting Windows on an m.2 SSD with the Gigabyte Aorus x570 I motherboard

Hello, I am having an extremely strange issue with my x570 I Aorus Wifi Pro motherboard.

Recently, I upgraded to this motherboard for an existing system, which means I already had Windows 10 installed on an m.2 SSD. I also have a 2TB SATA SSD for storage.

The strange thing is, that this motherboard will only boot Windows if the SATA SSD is plugged in. However, the m.2 SSD is the one with Windows installed on it, and it is also the C: drive.

I have formatted the 2TB SATA SSD, and even changed its drive number. Even so, this motherboard will only boot Windows on the m.2 SSD if this completely empty SATA SSD is plugged in.

I have updated to the latest bios version, and tried playing around with some BIOS settings (like making sure the boot order is correct) but nothing can fix this issue.

Any ideas on how I can get my motherboard to boot Windows with only the m.2 SSD plugged in?

Thanks!
