The Asus Maximus X hero has a ethernet port labeled as a LAN port. What is that? is that just a regular ethernet port? Can i connect it to my router for wired connection?

also this board comes with wifi, but do i need antennas for it or no?

Yes.
LAN means Local Area Network.
Ethernet is the type of wire / plug.

You do need WiFi antennas, They should have come with the motherboard. Using an Ethernet cable is usually faster and more stable than wireless.
