Exxtracting Data From a Damaged External Hard Drive

I have an external hard drive that quit working. I have removed it and have a Thermaltake reader. My computer won't recognize the drive, but I am able to see it when I go into Disk Management. I want to get the information off of the drive, but don't see an option to do it. How do I get the data off of the drive?
