Does anybody know where I can get professional recommendations on protecting your eyes from Monitor Emissions, I need Real recommendations made by expert people, like may be the ISO organization...
If anyone knows any Page covering the issue please pass it on.

Well Mr "I'm So cool with my answers" , I guess u never heard about Xray and UV emissions coming out of a CRT PC Monitor... Needless to say that for some of us who spend a LOT of time in front of a pc, these emissions become Harmful, even in small quantities.

Got nothing constructive to say, don't say it....

I don't think he meant that offensively.

Hey, don't get wound up by a lighthearted comment.

As a former Xray systems engineer I've had a lot of experience with monitoring EM output of various devices.

CRT's produce negligible, if any, emissions in the Xray band of the spectrum. If they do the level is so far below acceptable levels to be undetectable with standard instrumentation.

As for UV emissions, believe me, sunlight is a lot worse.

If you want to research the subject thoroughly, a good starting point might be www.nrpb.co.uk

This is the website of the National Radiological Protection Board of the UK, a body I've worked with in the past.

If you work with PC's a lot, then posture, RSI , visual glare and poor monitor focus are much more likely to cause you problems.

Yes, I didn't mean it offensively. I just thought it was an interesting question.
And to prove it, here's a link I stumbled across (while looking for temperature monitors), for some sort of...well, I'm not sure what to call it, but here it is.

Apple? Macintosh? What are these strange words you speak?

oh my god... give me something to sheild me from my monitor... need something to shield me from my phone... my tv... hy speakers... the earths magnetic field... the sun... lets all just live in a lead box (with no radioactive isotopes left)) as far away from anything as possible... just get a good monitor with over 72 hz refresh rate... and youll be fine (more or less... we all gotta die...)

you do not strengthen the weak by weakening the strong

you just dont munch the box... maybe coat it in something like... uhm... gold maybe solid platinum box... that would be good...

you do not strengthen the weak by weakening the strong

That'd work. Just make sure you don't have any holes, and you make it a vacuum, to be certain you don't have any airborne viruses.

Wow, this reminds me of the Seinfeld with the Bubble Boy.

I hope the original poster knows we're not making fun of him...

Yawn.....

Anyway, u said something probably true the last two lines, but, that wasn't my question DUDE, why don't u check the subject before posting such idiotic phrases...

I guess some people like Hammerhead understood that I really want to research the subject in depth, so it wasn't meant as a personal issue..

I guess some people Get it, others simply don't.

May be it's all has to do with frequency synchronization between thoughts ( a phrase as useless as your last one )

I'm sorry if I offended u in any way, I just didn't appreciate the comedy side, I was expecting interesting replies (solutions).
Thank u for your link, didn't check it out yet, but I will.

See, that's the thing. None of us know what we're talking about, so we get the comedy bits in to stall while we look it up.

I'm speaking in general (about this kind of topic). You're in the minority, as an x-ray tech.
