Eyefinity with a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter?

I've been looking for some large TVs to make an eyefinity display, but it's hard to find TVs with DVI ports. So can you set up an EF display using HDMI and an active DP to HDMI adapter [instead of DVI]?

Digital is digital = you can use DP to HDMI or DVI to HDMI and it should work.
