Question Eyes hurt when switching to a new bigger display

I bought a Philips 278E; 27" 1080p 75Hz display three days ago. My previous monitor was a 21.5" and I am sitting about 65cm away from the screen. Tried all kinds of settings - reduce brightness, gamma, contrast, turn on and off smart response, fiddle with sharpness, nothing helps. Am I standing too close? Will my eyes adjust eventually? Or should I just return it?

The new screen is anti-glare. Also tried the Low-blue mode of the display still doesnt help.

see if you use the smart image game settings that wil help if not try to have it send back .

Do you do a lot of reading on the monitor? I think I've seen some people complain of eyestrain when reading on low pixel density displays, and the PPI of a 27" 1080p monitor isn't great.

Getting it farther away doesn't help? I have a 27" 1080p and I'm fine with it, but I don't sit that close.
