I just built my new pc and tried to turn it on. The motherboard flashes the ez debug cpu led for a brief moment then turns the the pc off. The case, video card and cpu cooler fans all spin when powered on. What could be the problem?

components:
Intel pentium g4600
msi b250m pro-vd
gigabyte gtx 1050 g1 gaming 2gb
corsair carbide 88r
cougar ste 400w psu
crucial 2x4gb ddr4 2133mhz udimm

I have already tried that solution and the same symptoms came up. One flash of the cpu led and then dead. The psu isnt the problem because i just did the paperclip test and the fans of the psu started spinning.

Are you sure the 8-pin CPU power connector is plugged in properly?
Are you sure the CPU cooler is sitting flat on the CPU?
Are you sure there are no extra case standoffs touching the back side of the motherboard?

There are extra standoffs included with the cas but none of them are touching the mobo. The 8 pin connectors are sitting firmly in the header and have been resealed incase. The cpu cooler is also flat on the cpu.

What version of Windows are you using?
Have you cleared the CMOS?
Is the Ram pushed all the way down in the slots?

I am planning to use Windows 10 64bit as this is a new build. I have removed the lithium battery and put it back in. The ram is firmly secured into their respective slots.

I tried switching the ram around and using one stick but the same led still flashes and the problem remains. Thank you for being so patient with me and trying to help me. I respect you good sir.

Could you exactly identify your RAM? Your motherboard has been issued many BIOS updates which include "Improved memory compatibility".
You should probably check the CPU for any bent pins.

Sorry to revive an old thread but, this is the exact issue I am having currently. Everything seems logical but the PSU is a brand new gold certified, EVGA Super Nova 850w PSU. Simply replacing that could solve the issue?

Did you install motherboard risers ? the problem could be that the motherboard is touching the case
