EZ debug LED starts at CPU for 1/2 second, then stays at DRAM for 5, then turns off...?

Just assembled a new computer.

G4560
XFX RX 480 4G
Rosewill Photon 550w 80+ gold modular
msi b150 PC MATE
corsair vengeance 8gb x1 2666
kingston 120gb SSD
hitachi 2tb HDD

My manual simply says very uninformative crap like "if light on DRAM, DRAM error." What's it mean when it starts at CPU then switches over to DRAM?

I'm getting no video signal, no motherboard startup screen thingy, but the computer and all it's fancy lights, except the debug light, stay on.

So far, i've tried removing the graphics card and using the Mobo's DVI output to no avail. I switched the RAM stick to all four dimms and got the same issue. I unplugged and replugged in just about everything. I even reinstalled the CPU. nothing is working, and i'm too lazy to consider breadboarding yet, so any suggestions?

P.S. i know for a fact this monitor works, so you can rule that out. i also reset the CMOS via battery draining.

That mobo needs a BIOS update to support a Kaby Lake.

Only way to fix it. Take it to a shop and ask them to update it with a Skylake

Or you'll have to buy / borrow a Skylake cpu first to update it

Or return it and buy a Z270 / B250 mobo, which will be more compatible

H110, Z170 and B150 mobos need a BIOS update to support a Kaby Lake CPU

Is that my only solution? i have to have a 6th gen CPU to update the bios, no way around that? that's sort of crappy.

Thanks x10 man. Heard it COULD need it but never would've assumed that was the issue.
