EZ debug lights

Hi i wanted to test my fans etc without some components in my pc. The only things i do not have installed is gpu and ram. Everything turned on fine all fans running but i looked at the debug lights and the ram light was on as expected but the cpu light was also on. Just curious if there is an issue with the cpu or if it wont post without ram installed or what. Any answers would be appreciated. Thank you.

Ryzen 1600 and msi b350 gaming pro carbon

Have you connected the 8 pin power cable to the motherboard?

Yes though it was in a difficult spot. Maybe it isnt in all the way. It does look and feel secure though

The CPU LED should go on and then off. It might be the board's behavior, when RAMs not installed. I suggest waiting for RAMs, and then testing.

Thats what i was hoping the issue was. But yes hopefully having the ram installed will fix it. Thank you.

Installed RAM and both lighths are no longer on so it worked. Now vga light is on but dont have gpu yet its on its way so that must have been the issue. Thanks again!

You're welcome. Thank you for the update. When card installed, connect the monitor to it, not to the motherboard.
