So around a month ago my PC randomly shut off and when i went to boot again it just stayed on a backscreen and i tried all troubleshooting methods and nothing seemed to work.

The next day i took it my neighbour to look at as he works at a computer shop but unfortunately he didnt have anything to test my parts on but he did say it was most likely a CPU or Motherboard issue.

I then ordered brand new parts from amazon except CPU & GPU.

Motherboard - MSI x470 gaming plus max
Ram - Corsair LPX 16gb DDR4 3000mhz - Im also using my old ram as that works fine. (Same ram)
PSU - Corsair TX750M

Once they arrived i built it and then tried to turn it on and then i got a red light on CPU.

So i contacted AMD and got a replacement and now i have a red light on my VGA but sometimes it boots and stays on for around 20-30seconds and then blackscreens and my monitor goes on standby and then it just stays on that red light.

I updated bios, uninstalled drivers, tried 1 ram stick, tried different ports and used a display port cable instead of HDMI and still nothing.

I tried a GT 710 and that boots fine although it occasionally blackscreens but comes straight back on and it sometimes stutters like it blackscreens a few times in a row.

Full parts list.

Ryzen 7 2700x
GTX 1660 OC
Corsair LPX 32gb DDR4
MSI x470 gaming plus max
PSU - Corsair TX750M

There is also this one issue shown when i select all the parts on PCPartpicker:

"The MSI X470 GAMING PRO MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard has an additional 4-pin ATX power connector but the Corsair TXM Gold 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply does not. This connector is used to supply additional 12V current to the motherboard. While the system will likely still run without it, higher current demands such as extreme overclocking or large video card current draws may require it."

Would this be the issue or do you have any idea on how i would fix this or do you think my GPU died along side my CPU ?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

When you state this
I then ordered brand new parts from amazon except CPU & GPU
It's customary to include your specs before and after if things have changed to help give us retrospect of your build.

I updated bios,
How did you do so? What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard?

Ram - Corsair LPX 16gb DDR4 3000mhz - Im also using my old ram as that works fine. (Same ram)
+
Corsair LPX 32gb DDR4

So you're mixing and matching rams on your build?

Hello, sorry for the confusion.

Lets talk about the ram first.

All ram sticks are exactly the same, when i ordered the new ram i ordered the exact same kit i bought before.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07B4G525F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Each kit is 2x 8gb sticks

The only reason i bought new ram is because i wanted to single out every part.

So in total i have 32gb Ram 4x 8gb sticks which are exactly the same.

As for my old parts

CPU - Ryzen 7 2700x -- https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07B428M7F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Ram - Corsair Vengeance LPX 16gb 2x 8gb DDR4 3000mhz -- https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07B4G525F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Motherboard - Gigabyte A320M-S2H -- https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B078KBKFZ6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
GPU - GeForce GTX 1660 OC 6G -- https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07PDT2H55/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

---------------------------

I updated the bios by downloading the file from the MSI website and putting it on a USB and then went through the updating process in the bios.

This is where i downloaded the bios update from

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/X470-GAMING-PLUS-MAX/support#down-bios

I downloaded the latest one
