it is a r eally really good game

but it is tough, isnt it ?

1. it should be easier
2. we should have outside car view too

One of the best racers on any format, easily. Yeah its pretty damn tuff
but you soon get better with practice.

This pretty much says you don't pay attention to the other consoles,
since F355 was released almost 2 years ago on the PS2.

It is a rather accurate simulation of racing though, so it would have to
be a bit more complicated than games like Outrun or Daytona. (How accurate? A
professional Ferrari racer or two have actually used the arcade version of the
same game to improve their own real life career racing, according to the Ferarri
webpage itself.) If Sega had some more money in the bank, they might have been
able to give this game the hype that it deserved, but it wouldn't surprise me if
even games like Ridge Racer 5 for the PS2 outsold it by a large amount.

I think PGR2 on the XB looks better but then SEGAGT2002 on the XB doesn't.

So considering the power of the consoles after the DC you have to give lots
of respect to the game.

I had the JAP version which was letterboxed & probably running in 50hz via
the CDX demo disc, was the PAL version 60hz?

Doesnt the bootdisc that u can download and burn boot it in 60hz?

Anyways i always played the jap version and it was amazing... love teh
start sequence. Looks
great on vga too!

I do however have a jap dreamcast 🙂

I've got that disc as well...there's an option screen to switch the hz, IIRC.
Check that 1 page manual that comes in the case. :)

I had the Jap version of this, and it ran slowly, letterboxed.

I bought he UK version and it has a 60hz option.

Also there's a code on Gamefaqs to unlock the link cable mode.

Play it 2 player and it becomes much fairer because you both have the
same car and the same problems. It becomes very challenging and
absorbing.

You also have to do a fair amount of experimenting with the toe angles to
get the handling balance right (i.e. no understeer). Then it becomes a joy
to play.
