hello
im from pakistan and i want to know the procedure of connecting internet connection
i have a ptcl modem model f@st 1704 and from this i want to attach tp link router through ethernet (6 wires) cable but when i all set it and change the lan ip address of the router it works but some time it does not work plz guide me how to set up this
actually the main purpose of doing this because my friends want to use my internet connection and me also at the same time

You have to hook your Modem into the WAN port of your router. They are usually marked in Yellow. Then reboot both the modem and the router and you should be good.
